We seek a strategic and proactive individual to support business development (BD) in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences / Medical Device industry. The person will be responsible for driving growth, exploring market opportunities - with a focus on creating a healthy business pipeline.  The individual will be responsible for developing and executing the India go to market strategy for solution areas in the Pharma / Life Sciences / Medical Devices domain and that covers the gambut of software solutions for Research & Development, Production Planning, Manufacturing Execution and other related areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to define business needs and develop value propositions.
  • Ability to build a strategy and roadmap interacting with Senior Industry Executives. Executive selling experience in areas like R & D, Production Planning, Manufacturing Execution Software solutions.
  • Manage multiple campaigns/initiatives
  • Drive campaign execution with Industry, Marketing and Sales
  • Ability to articulate end to end Digitalization messaging and map it to the Siemens offering.
  • Support closing process if required

Business Planning

·       Support the development of industry go-to-market plan that identifies the solutions and the associated initiatives, define expected target revenues, activities to achieve the plan.

Opportunity Identification and Progression

  • Support the analysis of the Market within the Country / vertical.
  • Support the identification of target accounts in the  Vertical, engage with the target accounts and generate business opportunities for the Siemens solution portfolio.
  • Engage and execute one or more Portfolio development tactics across the spectrum of agreed target accounts.
  • Support the nurturing and development of the top target accounts to maturity for handover to the Sales.

Campaign Adoption & Feedback

·       Support and provide Country feedback on the campaign collateral improvements to the appropriate Country / Zone / Global PFD leader.

Reporting & Tracking

·       Attend and support regular business review sessions.

Enablement & Mentoring

·       Support and present at Country/Vertical internal sales events, external customer events and / or conferences.

General

  • Support the organisational culture, values and reputation in company markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers and partners.
  • Willing and able to travel to appropriate work locations, as required by SISW or specified by the customer pursuit/project.
  • Adhere to, and promote all core internal and customer processes relating to the effective undertaking of the role.
  • Undertake any business administration in line with job activity.

Qualification and Experience

  • Must have 10 + years experience. Preferably a blended experience of pharma domain, business development and customer – facing functions.
  • Preferably Bachelors in Engineering. Post Graduation in Engineering / Business administration is an additional plus.

·       Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Sales, business development, technical experience and strong, proven grasp of enterprise -related software technology/solutions relevant in the life sciences / pharma / medical devices industry.

·       Strong pipeline management, market expansion, and strategic planning skills.

·       Ability to work with CRM, Dashboards and BI tools.

  • Demonstrated capability to be the trusted advisor for the client within new or existing customers at various organizational levels. Experience aligning with mid/upper-level management and technical users.
  • Collaborate and drive results with diverse teams across internal and external organizations.
  • Familiar with the regulatory requirements in the industry and the associated compelling need to digitalize.
  • Approximately 60% travel.
