Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Western Music Expert to develop and refine a structured curriculum for school students. This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, incorporating vocal techniques, music theory, and performance training, and ensuring alignment with global music education standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in vocal performance, instrument training, music education, and curriculum design, with a keen ability to inspire students and educators alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a comprehensive curriculum to improve vocal technique, tone, breath control, and stage presence.
  • Create lesson plans, activities, and assessments tailored to different students ranging from early years, primary, middle, and high school.
  • Integrate music theory, ear training, sight singing, and repertoire building into the curriculum.
  • Assist in executing productions, events, and other prominent festivals in various schools that Gyansthan is associated with.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for teachers to effectively implement the curriculum.
  • Stay updated with trends in performing arts and education to enhance course content.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Music, Vocal Performance, Music Education, or a related field.
  • Certification from recognized institutions (ABRSM, Trinity, Berklee, or similar).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Western vocal music or vocal pedagogy in schools.
  • Strong understanding of vocal techniques, breath control, diction, music theory, performance practices, and articulation.
  • Familiarity with different vocal styles (e.g., classical, jazz, pop, musical theatre).
  • Experience in curriculum design and educational pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
