Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and manage web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS) and hosting environments.
  • Manage domain registrations, DNS configurations, and SSL certificates to ensure website accessibility and security.
  • Administer Linux-based systems including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain antivirus solutions on Linux servers to protect against malware and security threats.
  • Configure and manage firewalls (hardware/software) to secure networks and systems from unauthorized access.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure optimal uptime.
  • Manage and maintain IT hardware including servers, desktops, laptops, and networking devices.
  • Administer network infrastructure including switches, routers, and wireless devices.
  • Perform network troubleshooting and ensure connectivity across systems and sites.
  • Apply patches, updates, and security configurations on servers and network devices.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery plans for critical systems and data.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and IT infrastructure changes.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Linux server administration and web hosting environments.
  • Strong understanding of DNS, domain management, and SSL/TLS protocols.
  • Experience managing antivirus solutions on Linux platforms.
  • Familiarity with firewall configuration and network security principles.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance and network troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
