Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, clean, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ETO (Ethylene Oxide) sterilizers, and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage of sterile supplies.
- Maintain logs and records of sterilization cycles and inventory.
- Perform quality checks to ensure sterility and function of instruments.
- Transport sterile items to operation theaters, ICUs, wards, and other departments.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify damaged instruments and report for repair or replacement.
- Ensure compliance with hospital accreditation standards (NABH/JCI).
- Participate in audits, equipment maintenance, and staff training when required.
