Job Title: Senior FFS Packing Machine operator

Department: Plant operations

Reporting To: Processing & Packing Supervisor/Incharge

Location: Hakimpet village, Masaipet - Medak

Industry: Seed Processing / Agri-Input Manufacturing

Job Purpose:

The Packing Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) packing machines used for seed packing operations. The role ensures efficient, accurate, and hygienic packing as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality parameters while minimizing downtime and material wastage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation

  • Operate FFS (Form-Fill-Seal) automatic packing machines for seed packing.
  • Set up machine parameters such as weight, sealing temperature, film alignment, and speed.
  • Ensure consistent packing quality (weight, seal strength, print accuracy, and appearance).
  • Perform changeovers for different pack sizes and materials efficiently.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct routine checks and cleaning of the machine before and after operation.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical or electrical issues during operation.
  • Inform maintenance team for major repairs or preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain proper records of machine maintenance and downtime.

3. Quality & Compliance

  • Follow standard hygiene, safety, and quality protocols during operation.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure packaging material and finished good meet required standards.
  • Monitor for leakages, misprints, or weight deviations and take corrective actions.
  • Maintain batch traceability and labeling accuracy.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Record daily production output, material consumption, and wastage.
  • Report machine performance, downtime, and any quality deviations to the P&P Supervisor.
  • Maintain logbooks as per ISO/audit requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Packaging Technology (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–6 years of experience operating FFS automatic packing machines (preferably in seed, fertilizer, food, or FMCG industries).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of FFS machine operation, film handling, sealing, and dosing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical adjustments and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiar with weighing systems, batch coding, and labeling units.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Machine handling and troubleshooting skills.
  • Punctuality and discipline in following SOPs.
  • Ability to work under production timelines.
  • Team coordination and communication.

Work Environment:

  • Factory-floor based role with extended standing hours during production runs.
  • Work involves handling packaging films, seed bags, and operating semi/automatic equipment.
  • Must adhere to all safety, PPE, and hygiene standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
