Job Opening: Machine Shop Apprentice

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Machine Shop team as a Diploma Apprentice. This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with CNC machines, work with casting materials, and understand precision machining processes in a professional manufacturing environment. This is a day shift position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the operation and monitoring of CNC turning and milling machines.
• Loading and unloading casting components onto machines.
• Providing support in basic machine setup and tool changes under supervision.
• Ensuring proper measurement and inspection of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety at the workstation.
• Learning and following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machining.
• Recording production data and assisting in routine maintenance checks.
• Coordinating with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die / Mechanical Engineering (Freshers or recent graduates).
• Willingness to work in a machine shop environment.
• Good understanding of mechanical concepts and basic machine operations.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic knowledge of CNC programming / G & M codes (added advantage).
• Understanding of technical drawings and tolerances.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge).
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a manufacturing setup.
