*Job Profile: Production Manager**

**Role Overview:**

The Production Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing shopfloor operations across multiple shifts, managing a workforce of over 500 members. The successful candidate will ensure seamless end-to-end operations, from order initiation to dispatch, for international buyers. This role demands a system-driven leader with a strong focus on compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. **Operational Leadership:**

  2. Lead and manage shopfloor operations across A/B shifts, ensuring optimal manpower and machine utilization.

  3. Coordinate with PPC, NVD, maintenance, and quality teams to prevent stoppages and material shortages.

  4. **Compliance and Reporting:**

  5. Enforce strict adherence to SAP, PMS, and route card systems for accurate data capture and timely reporting.

  6. Ensure the plant is audit-ready for ISO, Sedex, FCCA, and buyer-side inspections.

  7. **Performance Management:**

  8. Achieve production targets related to quantity, quality, cost, and time.

  9. Improve key metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), First Pass Yield (FPY), and Defect Removal Rate (DRR).

  10. Reduce rework and scrap costs.

  11. **Workforce Management:**

  12. Cultivate a culture of accountability, safety, and compliance among supervisors, operators, and helpers.

  13. Plan around absenteeism and align workforce deployment effectively.

  14. **Continuous Improvement:**

  15. Drive lean practices, Kaizen initiatives, and bottleneck elimination to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

  16. Implement strategies to minimize cost leakage and sustain world-class production standards.

  17. **Safety and Compliance:**

  18. Enforce safety protocols and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance across the workforce.

  19. **Export Commitment:**

  20. Ensure zero-delay in meeting export commitments and maintain high standards of production excellence.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • Proven experience in production management within a large-scale manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP, PMS, and route card systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce effectively.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of ISO, Sedex, FCCA standards, and audit requirements.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
