Production Supervisor

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Production Supervisor -

Overview: As a Production Supervisor in our packaging machine manufacturing company, you will play a critical role in overseeing the production process to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You will lead a team of production workers, manage resources effectively, and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of production workers, including machine operators and assemblers, to ensure smooth operations and adherence to production schedules.

· Production Oversight: Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, efficiency targets, and safety regulations. Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maximize output. Understanding the production plan

· Allocating jobs

· Ensuring quality standards and design is followed

· Ensuring timely work from technicians

· Ensuring that there is no wastage on floor

· Cooperating and coordinating with all departments - mainly store, production, inspection and dispatch

· Reporting on daily basis regarding progress of production schedule

1. Resource Management: Coordinate with the production planning team to allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet production targets and customer demands.

2. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the production team.

3. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high product quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality requirements.

4. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct safety training sessions and promote awareness of safety practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, inventory levels, and quality control documentation. Generate performance reports and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

6. Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and logistics, to coordinate production activities and resolve cross-functional issues. Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and team members to ensure alignment on production goals and priorities.

7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the production department. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

8. Problem Solving: Proactively address production challenges and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize disruptions and maintain production continuity. Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure timely equipment maintenance and repairs.

1) Ensuring All staff working as per workplan

2) Proper Maintenance of production floor & equipment.

3) Proper Paper Work of Production files.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Production planning: 6 years (Preferred)

• English, Marathi, Hindi (Preferred)
• English (Preferred)
