Summary Of The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Assistant Manager – National Channel Sales (NCS) to join our team and lead the strategic national large format store account In this pivotal role, you will drive revenue growth, category performance, brand visibility, and retail execution excellence. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to deliver joint business planning (JBP), retail marketing initiatives, and sell-through strategies. This role directly reports to the Wholesale Head and offers an opportunity to lead a USD 20M account growing at double digits, spanning 100+ stores across India.

About The Role

  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) and strategic agreements with National Large Format Store partners.
  • Drive sell-in and sell-out strategies, aligning with brand goals, seasonal calendars, and promotions.
  • Manage space allocation, visual merchandising, and product visibility across 100+ store doors.
  • Plan and execute seasonal activations, brand campaigns, and new product launches to boost revenue and brand salience.
  • Be present on the retail floor at least 2 days per week, interacting with 10+ consumers daily to capture insights into consumer preferences and behavior.
  • Continuously interact with key store stakeholders (Department Managers, Unit Heads, and Store Managers) to strengthen partnerships and ensure top-of-mind recall for the brand.
  • Provide competition mapping inputs, including competitor sales figures and promotional activities, and recommend counter-strategies to the SBU team.
  • Oversee commercial negotiations, revenue forecasting, and margin optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Merchandising, Category Management, Visual Merchandising (VM), and Supply Chain to ensure flawless execution.
  • Partner with Brand Ambassadors (BAs) and retail teams to deliver a premium in-store brand experience.
  • Own in-store merchandise planning, allocation, and category performance, with a focus on driving denim leadership.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead structured business reviews and performance scorecards, implementing corrective actions where needed.
  • Conduct regular store audits to assess compliance, consumer experience, and retail execution.
  • Leverage relationships at the floor level to ensure maximum brand visibility during marketing bursts and key initiatives.
  • Act as a primary liaison between the brand and retail partner, resolving operational issues and aligning priorities.
  • Provide competitive intelligence, analyzing market and POS data for strategic decision-making.

About You

  • 8–10 years of proven experience in key account management, national sales, or vendor roles within apparel, lifestyle, FMCG, or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with expertise in interpreting data and translating insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-format retail accounts such as National Large Format Store, Lifestyle, or similar partners.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence C-level and senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with SIS (Shop-in-Shop) models, planograms, and retail merchandising principles.
  • A high sense of ownership, with the ability to drive initiatives independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with a detail-oriented approach to execution.
  • Familiarity with retail analytics tools, POS data management, and sales reporting platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering within tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset with executive presence.
