Job Description

Role Overview

As a Senior Architect, you will own the end-to-end technical architecture of our data-intensive, customer-deployable products. You will lead by example in defining standards, driving architectural decisions, ensuring scalability and compliance, and enabling engineering excellence. You'll collaborate closely with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance data products for Life Sciences clients.

  • Lead product engineering initiatives — from design to deployment — ensuring adherence to best practices in software architecture and cloud-native development.

  • Define and enforce coding, security, and deployment standards aligned with industry and regulatory compliance (e.g., GxP, HIPAA).

  • Evaluate and integrate modern technologies such as AI/ML, data engineering platforms, and microservices architectures.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and architects, fostering a strong culture of technical excellence and innovation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to ensure seamless product delivery and continuous improvement.

  • Review architecture blueprints and code to ensure maintainability, performance, and scalability.

  • Stay ahead of emerging tech trends and recommend their adoption to strengthen our product ecosystem.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10–15 years of hands-on experience in 
    enterprise or product development
    , with at least 5 years in an 
    architectural leadership
     role.

  • Strong expertise in 
    data-intensive systems
    , 
    distributed architectures
    , 
    microservices
    , and 
    API-first design
    .

  • Proven experience with 
    cloud platforms
     (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and 
    container orchestration
     (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Deep understanding of 
    data engineering frameworks
     (Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, etc.).

  • Experience with 
    DevSecOps
    , 
    CI/CD pipelines
    , and modern 
    software development practices
    .

  • Strong understanding of 
    security, compliance, and data privacy frameworks
     (HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR).

  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python, Java, or ).

  • Prior experience building 
    customer-deployable SaaS or hybrid products
     preferred.

  • Exposure to 
    Life Sciences / Healthcare data domains
     is a strong plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
