Job Summary:

The Nursing Tutor plays a vital role in the academic and clinical development of nursing students at Divine Grace Institutions. This position involves delivering engaging theoretical and practical instruction, facilitating clinical experiences, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall academic excellence of the nursing program. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced nursing professional with a passion for teaching and a commitment to nurturing future nurses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
• Deliver lectures, conduct tutorials, and facilitate practical sessions for various nursing subjects as per the curriculum.
• Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to engage students and accommodate different learning styles.
• Prepare and update lesson plans, teaching materials, and presentations.
• Ensure alignment of teaching with the latest nursing practices, guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Indian Nursing Council - INC standards).
• Clinical Supervision and Guidance:
• Supervise students during their clinical postings in hospitals and community settings.
• Provide hands-on guidance, demonstrations, and constructive feedback on nursing procedures and patient care.
• Ensure students adhere to ethical standards, safety protocols, and professional conduct in clinical environments.
• Facilitate case discussions and critical thinking exercises related to clinical scenarios.
• Student Assessment and Evaluation:
• Design and administer various assessment methods, including written exams, practical assessments, assignments, and presentations.
• Evaluate student performance accurately and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and attendance.
• Participate in internal and external examinations as required.
• Curriculum Development and Research:
• Contribute to the review and updating of the nursing curriculum to meet evolving healthcare needs and educational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and research activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay abreast of advancements in nursing.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to academic planning.
• Mentorship and Student Support:
• Provide academic and personal guidance to students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Address student concerns, offer counseling, and refer to appropriate resources when necessary.
• Promote critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a professional attitude among students.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate records related to teaching, assessments, and student performance.
• Prepare reports and documentation as required by the department and institution.
• Participate in institutional events, committees, and accreditation processes.
• Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) can be considered with significant teaching and clinical experience.
• Experience:
• Minimum of [e.g., 1-3] years of teaching experience in a recognized nursing institution preferred.
• Registration:
• Valid and current registration with the State Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council (INC) is mandatory.
