Job Summary:

Intellypod Software is seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager with strong expertise in high-risk financial transactions, chargeback management, and payment gateway integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with platforms such as NMI, PayArc, FinGrid, and WEX, along with a solid technical understanding of payment flows, fraud mitigation, and dispute resolution processes.

This role involves close collaboration with engineering, compliance, operations, and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant payment solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the role requires frequent customer interactions. The candidate must be available to work at least until 1 PM Eastern Time to accommodate customer meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the product lifecycle for high-risk financial transaction systems, focusing on chargeback handling, fraud detection, and payment gateway integration.
  • Design and optimize chargeback workflows and reporting mechanisms in coordination with compliance and risk teams.
  • Lead integrations and manage relationships with processors and gateways such as NMI, PayArc, FinGrid, and WEX.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for engineering teams.
  • Manage the product backlog, engage directly with customers, and ensure successful onboarding and communication.
  • Collaborate with technical architects and developers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product features.
  • Monitor key metrics such as chargeback ratios and decline rates, and drive continuous product improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving card network rules, PCI DSS compliance, and industry best practices related to high-risk processing.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Advocate for technical and architectural improvements that enhance system security and reduce fraud exposure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years focused on payments or high-risk financial services.
  • Strong understanding of transaction routing, MID management, chargebacks, fraud monitoring, and risk scoring systems.
  • Hands-on experience with NMI, PayArc, FinGrid, and WEX, including API integration and platform configuration.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in fast-paced, compliance-focused environments.
  • Familiarity with card network rules (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) and regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, KYC, and AML.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency in APIs, SQL, and basic software architecture concepts.
  • Prior experience working closely with development teams is a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with tokenization, vaulting, and recurring billing systems.
  • Previous experience in high-risk industries (e.g., crypto, adult, supplements, gaming).
  • Background in fintech, payments, or merchant acquiring platforms.
