Sumangala Steel Private Limited is one of India's leading manufacturers of TMT steel bars, with a state-of-the-art integrated facility producing TMT bars of various sizes using billets derived from melted scrap. With over 40 years of industry expertise, the company operates one 25-ton and two 15-ton induction furnaces. With a turnover of over Rs.800 crores, we continue to grow and innovate in the steel industry.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Finance / CFO to lead our Finance & Accounts function and play a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy, operational excellence, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of financial leadership, strategic thinking, and execution capability with excellence in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting, treasury, budgeting, taxation, and audits.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to the Board and senior management to support decision-making and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls, policies, and reporting systems.
  • Manage financial planning, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Lead fundraising, and banking relationships.
  • Drive cost optimization and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring professional development and high performance.
  • Partner with business heads to evaluate new projects, M&A opportunities, and capital allocation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Chartered Accountant (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in corporate finance, financial restructuring, and strategic advisory.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
