Senior Scientific Software Developer for atomic-scale simulations GUI

Synopsys is seeking a scientific software developer for quantum simulation applications for our development team in Hyderabad, India. You will be part of our team of world-leading experts in atomic-scale simulations who are developing the QuantumATK software.

You will contribute to the continued development of our graphical user interface that helps our customers set up calculations using density functional theory, semi-emperical models or force field potentials. The tasks require extensive experience with scientific computing, simulations of quantum systems and a proven interest in UI development. We are looking for a talented individual with:

  • Personal experience with quantum codes
  • Strong general background in solid state physics or chemistry
  • General programming skills, in particular Python and C++
  • Proven interest in layouting, visual design and UI programming
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
