Software Engineer SharePoint and Salesforce Developer

POSITION TITLE: Software Engineer (SharePoint and Salesforce)

POSITION REPORTS TO: VP of IT and Data Services

DEPARTMENT: TI Data Service

KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of the company intranet, from concept to implementation.
• Create and maintain visually engaging SharePoint pages, including department-specific pages that cater to their unique needs.
• Customize Salesforce pages and capabilities to support the needs of the VIRA Insight end users.
• Implement branding elements that align with the company's visual identity and enhance the overall user experience.
• Focus on creating an intuitive and user-friendly GUI, built to industry standard patterns.
• Optimize navigation and information architecture to facilitate easy access to relevant content.
• Collaborate closely with department heads and key stakeholders to understand their specific needs and requirements.
• Gather feedback iteratively to ensure the intranet meets the expectations of different departments.
• Break down the intranet development into manageable scopes and phases.
• Develop a project plan, set timelines, and manage the execution of each phase effectively.
• Create training materials and documentation for end-users and department administrators.
• Conduct training sessions to ensure users are proficient in navigating and utilizing the intranet.
• Possess strong technical expertise in SharePoint and Salesforce platform development, respectfully.
• Keep abreast of the latest SharePoint and Salesforce features and technologies to leverage them for optimal intranet performance.
• Other duties related to the project as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven expertise in SharePoint and Salesforce development, customization, and administration.
• Familiarity with SharePoint Online and Salesforce platform development.
• Web Development Technologies: Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of relevant web development frameworks and libraries.
• SharePoint Framework (SPFx): Experience with SharePoint Framework for modern SharePoint development.
• SharePoint Designer and Power Automate: Proficiency in using SharePoint Designer for custom workflows.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles.
• Ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and manage intranet development projects.
• Proven track record of designing and developing intranets using SharePoint, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
• Experience with SharePoint Framework for extending SharePoint features.
• Familiarity with advanced SharePoint features, such as content types, site columns, and metadata.
• UX/UI Design Tools: Experience using design tools for creating wireframes and prototypes.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
• Ability to adapt to changes and stay updated on the latest SharePoint features and technologies.
• Creative mindset to design visually appealing and innovative intranet solutions.
• High attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of intranet design and functionality.
• Certifications (Optional, but a Plus): Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer, Salesforce Engineering

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in SharePoint development, with a strong portfolio of intranet design and development projects.
• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint technologies, including SharePoint Online.
• In-depth knowledge of native Salesforce platform configuration and development.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
• Basic knowledge of ANSI SQL.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
