About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Rubrik Backup Administrator / Specialist with deep expertise in data protection, cloud backup, and disaster recovery operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Rubrik environments, optimizing backup strategies across multi-cloud platforms, and ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and optimize Rubrik backup and recovery operations across virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Design and maintain backup strategies for AWS, Azure, GCP, and VAST Storage.
  • Evaluate Rubrik deployments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Integrate Rubrik with SIEM, CMDB, and orchestration tools.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, DORA).
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, technical documentation, and best practice implementations.
  • Manage and troubleshoot O365 backups (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Monitor and report on backup performance and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with IT, cloud, and storage teams for seamless system integration.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Rubrik (primary skill).
  • Solid understanding of VAST Storage and Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise backup architectures and cloud-native disaster recovery.
  • Experience managing data protection compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in documenting and communicating technical processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Disaster Recovery and Continuity Planning.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery automation.
  • Ability to provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
