Scope

As Fossils QA Tester, you will be responsible for performing quality assurance tasks throughout the project lifecycle. This position will be responsible for preparing, creating, and executing testing across multiple systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with team members (both locally and globally) along with the business contacts will be required. Fossil will look to you to partner with the Test Leads to provide feedback on the process and share process improvements to help make Fossil and the processes more efficient.

Job Description

In this role, you will perform test activities to validate software modifications that satisfy business requirements and client expectations. You will complete testing efforts for multiple projects and will work closely with the local and global teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in Software Testing
• Understanding of current technologies, Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), Agile and Iterative Development methodologies
• Familiar with defect management tools (ie: JIRA)
• Review requirements (functional and non-functional) and design specifications, which may include interfacing with subject matter experts to understand requirements, processes, and metrics, to ensure appropriate test coverage. Highlight any issues discovered during the review process
• Create and execute test scenarios and test cases, maintaining requirements traceability
• Conduct formal test case review sessions and incorporate feedback
• Identify test data requirements. Communicate test data requirements early; working with team to ensure test data will be available prior to testing commencing
• Execute testing according to the guidelines detailed in test strategy and test plan
• Evaluate deviations from expected results to determine risk, impact, and priority of defects
• Concisely document defects, ensuring the test steps are repeatable
• Identify and track issues, risks, and action items
• Participate in daily standups, escalating issues as appropriate
• Work with local team to address any defects
• Produce test result metrics and reporting to track test progress and quality effectiveness
• Strong time prioritization and organizational skills

Nice To Have:

• Technical background (coding/scripting knowledge) for automated regression testing
• Experience across different mobile app, web app testing processes and tools (Selenium/Appium, Jmeter, Saucelabs, Testfairy, Postman, Charles proxy, Logcat, etc.)
• SAP AFS experience for an end to end testing support
• OMS experience for an end to end testing support
• E-commerce experience, including an end to end testing of the solution
• Scripting knowledge to be able to support automation or manual testing efforts
