Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
    • Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) as appropriate.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams.
    • Understand and contribute to the technical architecture on GCP.
    • Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and architects to ensure technical feasibility and alignment.
    • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines .
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Proactively manage and resolve project issues.
    • Escalate critical issues to management as needed.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage project budgets.
    • Track project expenses and ensure adherence to budget.
    • Report on project financials.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate project teams.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • GCP Environment Management:
    • Manage and optimize our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment for Big Data projects.
    • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our GCP infrastructure.
Requirements


* Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex projects on GCP, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices for data pipelines, data warehouses, and APIs.
* Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and architects to design and implement scalable and reliable data solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
* Proactively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring alignment on project goals.
* Establish and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and reporting on financial performance.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, escalating critical issues to management as needed.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, providing coaching and mentoring to team members.
