Job DescriptionDuties:
Business Engagement & Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison between assigned business functions (e.g., Sales, Service, Operations, Finance) and the Data & Analytics team.
- Understand business objectives and translate them into actionable data requirements.
- Prioritize and manage incoming requests from business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of analytics deliverables.
Analytics Delivery & Technical Execution
- Lead the end-to-end development of Power BI dashboards, from requirement gathering to deployment and training.
- Design and develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of analytics outputs.
- Drive continuous improvement in Power BI dashboard design, usability, and performance.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor a team of Data Analysts; assign work, review outputs, and provide technical guidance.
- Ensure timely delivery of reporting requirements by managing team workload and capacity.
- Promote best practices in data visualization, storytelling, and data governance.
Collaborate with other Analytics Leads and the Head of Data & Analytics for cross-functional initiatives.

- Quality Assurance: Ensures accuracy, consistency, and reliability of analytics deliverables.
Business & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Stakeholder Management: Skilled at engaging with business users, understanding their needs, and translating those into clear technical requirements.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes and KPIs across functions like Service, Sales, Finance, and Operations.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical insights in simple, business-friendly language to non-technical stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled at engaging with business users, understanding their needs, and translating those into clear technical requirements.

Project & Delivery Management
- Agile/SCRUM Practices: Exposure to Agile methodologies; capable of managing sprint-based delivery cycles and tracking task progress through tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Ownership & Accountability: Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility for timely and quality delivery of analytics solutions.
- Documentation & Governance: Maintains structured documentation of data models, dashboard logic, and change history.
Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving
- Root Cause Analysis: Identifies issues in reporting/data accuracy and resolves them proactively.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Uses insights to recommend process improvements and support data-backed decision-making.
- Attention to Detail: Thorough in validating data outputs and ensuring consistency across reports.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
Must Have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a team or project lead capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development (including DAX, data modeling, performance tuning).
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Solid understanding of data structures, ETL concepts, and business process mapping.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and coach team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of data visualization concepts
Nice to have:
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
- Exposure to ERP systems like SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise systems is preferred.
- Power BI certifications are a plus.
- Hands on experience of creating Power Automate workflows would be a plus.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, or data security practices is a plus.
