We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for precision engineering and product innovation. This is a hands-on role that demands creativity, technical rigor, and the ability to work independently on high-impact projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Prior experience or deep interest in robotics, automation, or aerospace systems.
  • Working knowledge of composite materials and their manufacturing processes.
  • A problem-solving mindset, with a sharp focus on innovation, reliability, and precision.
  • Self-driven individual capable of independent project ownership without the need for micro-management.
  • Eagerness to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-focused startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components using CAD tools, ensuring compliance with performance and quality benchmarks.
  • Act as a liaison between mechanical and product teams, ensuring seamless integration across disciplines.
  • Collaborate with the Mechanical R&D team to drive innovation, iterative design, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with vendors for prototype and production-level manufacturing, including composite materials fabrication.
  • Manage procurement and sourcing, maintaining a strong understanding of where and how parts can be fabricated or sourced efficiently.
  • Support scaling from prototyping to production, ensuring manufacturing meets engineering intent and product standards.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in high-performance mechanical design, aerospace, or defense systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.
