Job Description:

JCPL is looking for an experienced Fitter to join our Operation & Maintenance (O&M) team at the UAIL Site, Tikiri. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Raw Material Handling Systems, Stacker & Reclaimer, and Conveyor Systems with strong technical and maintenance skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment in Conveyor Systems, Stacker & Reclaimer, and Raw Material Handling areas.
  • Perform equipment fitting, alignment, coupling, and assembly work as per maintenance schedules.
  • Identify faults, replace worn-out parts, and ensure minimum downtime of plant equipment.
  • Assist in installation, overhauling, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and components.
  • Ensure proper lubrication, tightening, and alignment of rollers, pulleys, and gearboxes.
  • Maintain safe working practices in accordance with site safety norms and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Support shutdown, breakdown, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Maintain proper records of maintenance jobs and spare utilization.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong technical understanding of belt conveyors, pulleys, rollers, idlers, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Stacker & Reclaimer maintenance.
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawings and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team under site conditions.
  • Awareness of safety standards and O&M best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • ITI in Fitter trade from a recognized institute.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, preferably in Material Handling or the Aluminium/Mining industry.
  • Physically fit and willing to work in shifts.
