Role & responsibilities :

  • Create and develop electrical control panel designs based on customer specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, EPLAN, or other design software to draft control panel layouts and schematics.
  • Select appropriate electrical components, such as relays, circuit breakers, PLCs, HMI, and wiring, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Design the physical arrangement and wiring of components within the panel to ensure functionality, accessibility, and ease of maintenance.
  • Provide technical support to installation and commissioning teams by reviewing panel designs and addressing any issues during the build or implementation phase.
  • Ensure that control panel designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations such as UL, IEC, NEC, or local standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, control schematics, BOM (Bill of Materials), and manuals for clients and technicians.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, project schedules, and resource planning related to control panel design.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on the progress of design and production phases.

Key Skills Required :

  • Strong knowledge of electrical components and control systems (PLCs, relays, sensors, motors, etc.)
  • Should have strong understanding of Circuit breakers, Relays, Contractors, Time counters, etc
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulatory codes (e.g., UL, IEC, NEC)
  • Should have knowledge of systems such as PLC, SCADA, HMI
  • Should have exposure to design softwares such as Autocad, Zuken E3 Series, Eplan
