Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled
Infrastructure Automation Engineer
to design, deploy, and maintain IAM products and tools on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this role, you will drive automation across cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and modern CI/CD practices. You will collaborate closely with IAM Product Leads, Architects, Cloud Engineering, and CI/CD teams to implement best-in-class, immutable infrastructure deployment models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Build, enhance, and manage Terraform modules to enable reliable, scalable, and repeatable provisioning of GCP environments.
  • Develop and maintain Chef cookbooks/playbooks and Jenkins pipeline scripts to support automated deployments.
  • Automate end-to-end cloud infrastructure components using IaC principles within a fully integrated CI/CD ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with Application Support teams to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues related to deployment automation.
  • Provide deployment, administration, and operational support for applications/tools within scope.
  • Manage and execute bi-weekly/monthly automated software and infrastructure updates.
  • Continuously monitor production environments, ensuring system health, performance, and availability.
  • Partner with architecture teams to adopt and implement industry best practices for secure, scalable infrastructure and application deployment on GCP.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, or Developer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Jenkins, particularly for deploying applications and infrastructure on GCP and/or AWS.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies, release automation, and immutable infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with strong team collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proven experience automating system administration tasks, deployments, and ongoing operational processes.
  • Exposure to container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes/GKE (nice to have).
  • Scripting expertise in Python, Shell, or other scripting languages (plus).
  • Experience with Packer for image automation (plus).
  • Understanding of cloud IAM concepts (GCP/AWS IAM Policies, Roles, Bindings) is an advantage.
