Role Overview:
As the Senior Product Manager for Email Service, you will own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution of HighLevel's email infrastructure and deliverability systems. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, deliverability, compliance, and customer success teams to scale and optimize our email delivery ecosystem—supporting millions of messages daily across shared and dedicated sending environments.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership: Drive the vision and roadmap for Email Service, including sending infrastructure, deliverability tools, IP management, domain authentication, email validation, and reporting.
Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute product strategies that enhance reliability, deliverability, and compliance with major ISPs (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.).Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Deliverability teams to build scalable infrastructure and ensure system health.
Customer Insight: Collaborate with Customer Success and Support to translate customer feedback and data insights into actionable product improvements.
Performance & Metrics: Define KPIs for email performance (deliverability rate, bounce rate, complaint rate, IP reputation) and use data to guide decision-making.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to global anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and maintain high sender reputation standards.
Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends (AI-based deliverability) and introduce forward-thinking improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience with a strong focus on email system, preferably in SaaS, martech, or email infrastructure platforms (e.g., Mailgun, SendGrid, Amazon SES, Postmark)., and 7+ years of total professional experience.
- Strong understanding of email deliverability.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical systems into user-friendly products.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools to track performance and drive strategy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and shipping impactful products at scale.
Nice-to-Have
Prior experience in a B2B SaaS or agency-focused platform environment.
Background in high-scale infrastructure or email sending systems.
Experience integrating third-party ESPs or SMTP providers.
Familiarity with Google Postmaster Tools, SpamAssassin, or RBL monitoring systems.
