Job Title: Sales Engineer – Industrial Abrasives

Location: Pune/Ludhiana/Gurgaon /Ahmadabad/Chennai /Bengaluru

Job Summary:

Our Client is seeking dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineers to drive business growth in the abrasives market. The role involves identifying customer needs, offering technically sound solutions, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets in the automotive, bearing, and precision engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities in the automotive and bearing manufacturing sectors.

  • Conduct technical sales presentations and product trials at customer sites.

  • Understand customer processes and recommend suitable abrasive solutions (grinding wheels, segments, lapping films).

  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations and proposals.

  • Negotiate and close deals while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

  • Act as the liaison between the production/technical team and the customer to ensure seamless order execution.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and product developments.

  • Maintain regular reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and customer feedback through CRM tools.

  • Attend industry exhibitions, technical seminars, and promotional events.

  • Conduct grinding wheels trial and give techno-commercial proposal to the end customer.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.

  • Experience: 2–5 years in industrial sales, preferably in abrasives, machine tools, or consumables for manufacturing industries.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of grinding, finishing, or machining processes.

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.

  • Travel: Willing to travel extensively to customer sites and industrial hubs.

  • Languages: Proficiency in English and local language preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20, ₹30,000.00 per month
