Job Title: Freelance Software Development Trainer (Code Optimization & Best Practices)

Location: Remote / OnlineType: Part-time (8–10 hours per week)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Freelance Software Development Trainer to conduct interactive and practical sessions focused on improving coding skills, code quality, and performance optimisation.

The trainer will guide learners on real-world software engineering best practices — including code optimisation, code reviews, feature enhancement, and writing effective unit tests for both frontend and backend systems.

This is a part-time remote opportunity requiring 8–10 hours per week.

Key Training Topics:

  • Optimisation of Existing Code: Techniques for improving performance, readability, and maintainability.
  • Conducting Code Reviews (PRs): Best practices for reviewing pull requests, maintaining code standards, and using version control (Git).
  • Analysing Code Efficiency & Optimising Algorithms: Understanding time and space complexity, data structures, and algorithm improvements.
  • Adding New Features to Existing Codebases: Version control workflows, incremental development, and integration without breaking existing functionality.
  • Writing Unit Test Cases (Frontend & Backend): Using frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, PyTest, or JUnit to ensure reliability and maintainability.

Trainer Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured and engaging online training sessions (live or recorded).
  • Prepare lesson plans, coding exercises, and assessments.
  • Demonstrate real-world examples using modern tech stacks.
  • Review participants' code and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay updated with current industry best practices and tools.
  • Support learners through Q&A, troubleshooting, and practical assignments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#).
  • Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and backend frameworks , Django, Spring Boot, etc.).
  • Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
  • Experience using Git and participating in code reviews (PRs).
  • Solid understanding of unit testing and TDD methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
  • Ability to dedicate 8–10 hours per week for training sessions and learner support.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior teaching, mentoring, or corporate training experience.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, and cloud deployment.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools (like GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹350, ₹750,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 per week
