 Ikarus 3D is looking for artists who are proficient in using Zbrush for organic modelling and adding details to 3D character scans. We believe the future of AR, VR, and 3D rendering is bright and on our team, you'll have an enormous opportunity to impact the customer experience and innovate while setting best practices for the animation industry.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in cleaning character photogrammetry scans with high attention to details. 

Roles and Responsibilities for 3D Artist (Character Modelling):

  • Sculpting skills: Ability to create anatomically correct and visually appealing characters/creatures from the given references or using base mesh in Zbrush.
  • Retopology: Ability to create clean topology of the sculpted characters.
  • Follow design reference and work in a range of styles: Must have an eye to capture the details from the provided references, and create the 3d models accordingly. Create alternate visual styles in accordance with the client's vision and needs.
  • Modelling skills: Must be able to block any hard surface accessories for the character wherever required.
  • Texel density & UV layout skill: Must have the knowledge to properly layout UV to capture maximum details from texture for stunning visual quality.
  • Baking: Must be able to bake/export high quality maps from Zbrush/Marmoset.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reports about the work done.
  • Good knowledge of sculpting and anatomy.
