Role Objective:

Ensure operational stability, performance, and security of mainframe systems during and after modernization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage z/OS environments, including patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Implement automation for recurring operational tasks.
  • Support AIOps deployment using IBM Concert and Watson AIOps.
  • Centralize event monitoring and apply AI analytics for incident prediction.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate monitoring and feedback loops.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in z/OS administration and GDPS.
  • Familiarity with IBM Concert, Watson AIOps, Omegamon.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Jenkins, UrbanCode, Zowe).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.
