Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Professor of Statistics to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic and research missions of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach core and elective courses in Statistics to UG and PG students.
  • Design and update course curricula to reflect current trends and best practices.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and theses.
  • Conduct original research in the field of statistics or applied domains.
  • Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
  • Participate in departmental activities, academic advising, and committee work.
  • Collaborate with other faculty on interdisciplinary projects and grant applications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related field (for Associate/Full Professor roles).
  • Master's degree in Statistics with significant teaching experience (for Assistant Professor roles).
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the UG and/or PG level.
  • Strong academic background in theoretical and applied statistics.
  • Record of publications or evidence of potential for high-quality research.
  • Proficiency with statistical tools and software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SPSS, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in curriculum development and academic leadership.
  • Research expertise in fields such as Data Science, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Machine Learning, etc.
  • Industry collaboration or consultancy experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with online teaching tools and modern pedagogical approaches.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25, ₹32,000.00 per month
