What your current role should be like:

• Provide first-level technical support to users onsite and remotely for networking, devices, applications, and operating systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all IT resources and computing facilities are in excellent working condition at all times.
• Manage IT inventory to ensure all assets are appropriately accounted for, configured, allocated, and de-configured/de-allocated as per defined processes.
• Implement and monitor suggested security mechanisms, backup policies, and group/admin/access/security policies.
• Ensure continuous compliance with IT security protocols and best practices across the organization.
• Be available on-call to handle critical and emergency situations.
• Ensure proper incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), quality assurance, and documentation.
• Interface with and manage third-party vendors for procurements, licensing, setup, expansion, and technical support.
• Continuously monitor and suggest ways to reduce wastage, prevent misuse, and improve the safety and efficiency of computing resources.
• Lead or contribute to IT audits and certifications to ensure compliance and successful outcomes.
• Identify training needs related to IT resources and conduct or support training sessions.
• Manage corporate tools like email systems, JIRA, GitHub, and ensure appropriate user onboarding/offboarding and access controls.

What will you do?

• Ensure all computing facilities and resources are in excellent working condition at all times.
• Ensure all IT resources and inventory are appropriately accounted for at all times.
• Ensure all IT infra/resources are configured/allocated and de-configured/de-allocated as per defined processes.
• Ensure all suggested security mechanisms, backup policies, group/admin/access/security policies are deployed and continuous compliance is the same across organizations.
• Be available on call for handling critical and emergency situations.
• Ensure appropriate incident management and RCA, audit, quality assurance, documentation, etc.
• Interface with/Manage 3rd party vendors for all procurements, licensing, acquisitions, initial setup and expansion, renting, and tech support.
• Continuously monitor and suggest ways to reduce wastage, mis-use, safety of various computing resources and facilities and for process improvement.
• Lead/Contribute to various IT Audits and certifications for success.
• Ensure any training requirements for general/common computing resources are determined/evaluated and deliver/help conduct the same.
• Contribute to various related/relevant corporate activities and initiatives.

What do you have?

• B. Tech/MCA from a premier institute with 5+ years of relevant experience of handling end-user computing infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of MS ecosystem for admin, troubleshooting, health/performance monitoring/tuning.
• Experience with a variety of end devices including PCs, Laptops, Macs, Printers/scanners.
• Good knowledge of networking, AV, device level access control and encryption, license & inventory management, VPN.
• Basic understanding of different technologies, cloud and Open API platforms, design patterns, datastores, and scalable architectures.
• Good hands on experience with managing cloud infrastructure like AWS (preferred), GCP.
• Experience setting up systems from scratch will be appreciated.
• Experience working with external vendors and partners to ensure prompt response and support.
• Ability to investigate, research and suggest solutions, commercials, reference implementations etc.
• Experience managing corporate tools like Emails, JIRA, GitHub, etc for applying appropriate user on/off-boarding and control.
