Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer with at least 4 years of professional experience to join our growing development team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications, while mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP (preferably PHP 7/8).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, and other developers) to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Write clean, secure, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose improvements to processes and tools.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven experience in PHP development.
  • Strong knowledge of OOP, MVC frameworks
  • Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, is a plus).
  • Proficiency with RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and microservices architecture.
  • Solid understanding of Git / version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest, etc.).
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
