Role & responsibilities
- Transcribe dictated audio reports from radiologists into accurate and grammatically correct medical documents.
- Ensure proper formatting, medical terminology, and compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Edit and proofread reports for grammar, clarity, and medical accuracy.
- Review and verify patient information for completeness and correctness in reports.
- Flag inconsistencies, missing information, or errors in dictation or transcribed reports and follow up with radiologists when needed.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records
Meet assigned turnaround times (TATs) and productivity targets without compromising quality.
Coordinate with radiologists, physicians, and support staff to ensure timely delivery of finalized reports.
- Maintain organized electronic records and ensure all reports are stored securely within the system.
Preferred candidate profile
- Proven experience in medical transcription, with a focus Radiology Reports.
- Previous healthcare or clinical documentation experience is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, disease processes, medications, and treatment procedures.
- Excellent listening, typing, grammar, and editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Certification in Medical Transcription (CMT/RMT) preferred but not mandatory.
