Medical Transcriptionist Editor

Role & responsibilities

• Transcribe dictated audio reports from radiologists into accurate and grammatically correct medical documents.
• Ensure proper formatting, medical terminology, and compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
• Edit and proofread reports for grammar, clarity, and medical accuracy.
• Review and verify patient information for completeness and correctness in reports.
• Flag inconsistencies, missing information, or errors in dictation or transcribed reports and follow up with radiologists when needed.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient records

• Meet assigned turnaround times (TATs) and productivity targets without compromising quality.

• Coordinate with radiologists, physicians, and support staff to ensure timely delivery of finalized reports.

• Maintain organized electronic records and ensure all reports are stored securely within the system.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in medical transcription, with a focus Radiology Reports.
• Previous healthcare or clinical documentation experience is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, disease processes, medications, and treatment procedures.
• Excellent listening, typing, grammar, and editing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Certification in Medical Transcription (CMT/RMT) preferred but not mandatory.
