l Take food and drink orders from customers in a restaurant or other type of dining business

l Serve food and beverages according to customer requests/order

l Ensure customers have everything they need for an enjoyable meal.

l At the end of the meal, the server presents the bill to the customer, collects money or credit card and returns with receipt to sign or change. Greeting and Taking Customer Orders

l Welcome customers and distribute menus if not on the table.

l Need to update the opening checklist.

l Need to check the today cleaning places with the appropriate checklist

l (Kitchen Hygiene / Weekly / daily)

l Welcoming the Guests;

l Describe any daily specials or explain any changes to the menu (opportunity to up-sell)

l Take drink orders to prepare while customers take time to review menu.

l Deliver drinks to table and take customer orders

l Give customer orders to kitchen

l Retrieve order from kitchen and deliver to customers

l Check if anything else is needed before moving to next customer Customer Service During and After Meal

l Check back within first minutes after meal delivered to inquire if everything is to customers' likes

l If there are issues with the food or drinks, remedy immediately to ensure customer satisfaction

l Check on customers several times during meal to inquire if they need drink refills or anything else

l Once customers are finished with meal, inquire if dessert, drink refills or other drinks are desired (opportunity to up-sell)

l Remove meal plates and used utensils (unless restaurant has someone busing tables)

l Give dessert order to kitchen
