Director of Product Management

The Director, Product Management at DISCO is responsible for driving the overall product strategy and vision for their product(s). They lead a team of product managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and market-leading products. They use customer needs, industry trends, and business goals to shape the product roadmap and drive the success of our products in the market.

• Will a great product leader for the Collect journey, which is responsible for building that technology that allows legal teams to seamlessly identify and collect potentially relevant ESI from enterprise data sources to DISCO.
• Will be a great people leader for their global team, developing and coaching their team for success
• Will provide product leadership during IST hours for the entirety of the product and design organization, helping clarify their team's goals, keep the team unblocked, and mentor product and design team members (even outside direct reporting relationships)
• will be a great leader for the India office and for E&P in India, helping create a great culture, that retains the best employees, that is highly productive and helps the team do their best work.

• 10+ years of product management experience with software products, including managing product managers.
• Building enterprise software (B2B) in complex domains

Built products with enterprise sales distribution models; deeply understands them, collaborates effectively with global sales teams, translates knowledge into product and business outcomes

Has worked in a complex, highly professional domain (financial, legal, health care, technology, supply chain, etc.) and has translated knowledge into a successful product strategy and execution

• Experience building great teams and organizations

Building teams, scaling functions

Great mentor to product managers and adjacent disciplines

Putting a product-led culture in place with product operating models (use of continuous discovery, jobs to be done, design thinking, working backwards, etc.)

• Experience being an organizational leader

Modeling the right behavior and living organizational values

Participating or leading efforts to create highly collaborative, performing, and honest culture

• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of product managers.
• Deep understanding of product development processes, agile methodologies, and user-centered design principles.
• Ability to discuss strategy and long term vision with executives and also dive into the details
