Job description

  • Diploma / Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-2 years experience in production planning.
  • Mechanically inclined with a solid understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes and materials with a high emphasis towards medium / high volume manufacturing.
  • Lead the implementation of production planning modules including configuration and customisation of the system to align with the company's production requirements.
  • Forecasting and demand planning and procurement by collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish accurate demand forecasts and integrate them into the production planning process.
  • Maintain and update master data related to production, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor and manage production capacity, ensuring that it aligns with production demands and identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while maximising resource utilisation.
  • Implement strategies to optimise inventory levels, minimise carrying costs and reduce stock-outs.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance production planning, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and best practices.
  • Must have a sense of ownership and responsibility, and the ability to deliver within given deadlines.
  • Well developed and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills are mandatory (English, Kannada, Hindi).
