Role & responsibilities

  1. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC):

  2. Monitor and control quality during production.

  3. Conduct line inspections, process audits, and verify compliance with control plans.

  4. Ensure defect prevention rather than defect detection.

  5. Quality Control (QC):

  6. Inspect raw materials, in-process, and finished products.

  7. Implement sampling plans and acceptance criteria.

  8. Maintain documentation of inspection results and non-conformities.

  9. Statistical Process Control (SPC):

  10. Collect and analyze process data using control charts.

  11. Identify trends, variations, and potential risks in manufacturing processes.

  12. Drive corrective actions to keep processes under statistical control.

  13. Measurement System Analysis (MSA):

  14. Conduct Gage R&R studies and calibrations to validate measurement systems.

  15. Ensure measurement accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility.

  16. Eliminate errors caused by ineffective measuring instruments.

  17. Root Cause Analysis (RCA):

  18. Perform structured investigations for process and product issues.

  19. Apply tools like Fishbone, 5-Why, and Fault Tree Analysis.

  20. Document root causes and corrective/preventive actions.

  21. Why-Why Analysis:

  22. Use the Why-Why" methodology to drill down problem causes.

  23. Simplify problem-solving for repetitive or recurring issues.

  24. Ensure corrective actions address the true root cause.

  25. 8D Analysis:

  26. Lead 8D teams for critical quality issues and customer complaints.

  27. Implement permanent corrective actions and preventive measures.

  28. Prepare and present 8D reports to management and customers.

  29. Process Control & Improvement:

  30. Develop and maintain process control plans, PFMEA, and work instructions.

  31. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  32. Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance process capability and reduce defects.
