The Chief Engineer is the most senior technical leader and manager of the engineering department. They are responsible for the overall engineering strategy, operations, and technical vision of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the technology roadmap and architecture to support the company's product and business goals
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the engineering organization including personnel, projects, processes, and budgets
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and provide technical leadership to the engineering teams
  • Ensure engineering best practices are followed for software development life cycle, coding, testing, and deployment
  • Work closely with other department leaders to align technical capabilities with product, operational, and business requirements
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and processes to increase engineering efficiency and productivity
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of company products and systems
  • Define and enforce coding standards, software quality practices, and technical documentation
  • Manage technical debt and drive initiatives to improve code quality and system performance
  • Participate in product strategy and planning meetings as the technical advisor
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to cross-functional teams on complex projects

Requirements:

  • ,Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering management experience, including managing large engineering teams
  • Extensive experience in software development life cycle methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and adopt cutting-edge technologies
  • Outstanding technical vision and ability to understand complex system architectures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with all levels

The Chief Engineer is the highest technical authority and leader who shapes the engineering strategy and execution to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative products.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40, ₹45,000.00 per month
