Role & responsibilities Role OverviewWe are looking for a motivated Legal Associate to support our Insolvency & Liquidation team. The role involves handling endtoend legal work related to IPE (Interim Professional Engagement), liquidation, claim verification, asset distribution and compliance with IBC (Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code) and IBBI (Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India) guidelines. The ideal candidate will have ~1year of relevant experience and a background in CA/CS/LLB.


Key Responsibilities- Liquidation & IPE Support Assist in filing and processing liquidation petitions, preparing IPE reports and ensuring adherence to IBC timelines.

  • IBBI Portal Management Upload documents, update case status and maintain records on the IBBI portal.

  • Asset Verification Conduct preliminary verification of assets, coordinate with valuers and prepare assetverification reports.

  • Claim Handling Review and adjudicate creditor claims, prepare claimacceptance/rejection letters and maintain claim registers.

  • Distribution Assist in preparing distribution statements, calculating payouts to creditors and ensuring compliance with distribution rules.

  • Legal Drafting – Draft petitions, applications, notices, replies and other legal documents as required.

  • Procedural Compliance – Ensure all actions comply with IBC guidelines, court orders and regulatory requirements.

  • Stakeholder Coordination – Liaise with creditors, debtors, liquidators, and other professionals to gather information and resolve queries.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications & Experience- Education:CA, CS or LLB (or currently pursuing).

  • Experience:Minimum 1year in liquidation, IPE, insolvency or related fields.

  • Knowledge:IBBI portal, IBC guidelines, asset verification, claim handling, distribution procedures.

  • Legal Skills:Drafting of petitions/applications, understanding of court procedures.

Desired Skills- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

  • Good communication (written & verbal) in English and Hindi.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously
