We are searching for a Plant Head for a leading Scaffolding Manufacturing company based in Puducherry. Key Responsibilities:Operations & Production:Oversee plant operations to ensure timely production and shipment of export-grade scaffolding systems. Tailor manufacturing processes to meet international technical and regulatory standards for target markets.

Ensure production lines are optimized for high-volume, mixed-product exports (e.g., Cuplock, Ringlock, Frame systems). Export-Focused Quality & Compliance:Ensure products conform to international norms such as BS EN 12810/12811, ANSI, or specific country certifications required by clients in the USA, Middle East, Europe, and Australia. Manage third-party inspections and client audits, especially for key markets like USA, Europe, Middle east and AustraliaSupply Chain & Export Logistics:Align production schedules with shipping and export deadlines, coordinating with logistics partners and freight forwarders.

Supervise packaging, containerization, and labeling per country-specific requirements (e.g., heat treatment compliance for wood used in pallets for Australia). Work closely with the export documentation team to ensure smooth customs clearance. People & Process Management:Lead and motivate cross-functional teams across production, QA/QC, engineering, and logistics.

Ensure team members are trained in export-related quality and documentation protocols. Promote a results-driven culture aligned with global service standards. Cost Control & Efficiency:Monitor and control costs specific to export logistics, port handling, and overseas product customization.

Implement automation and process improvements to maintain competitive pricing in global markets. Customer-Centric Coordination:Collaborate with export sales teams to understand customer requirements from different geographies. Develop and approve customized scaffolding solutions for international tenders and project orders.

Skills and Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (Master's or MBA preferred years of experience in scaffolding or heavy fabrication, with 10 years in export-focused roles. Proven experience managing third-party inspections (e.g., SGS, TUV, Bureau Veritas). Strong ERP and production planning skills; experience with international audits is a plus.
