Minimum Qualifications & Experience

· Master's Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Agricultural Economics from a recognized university.

· Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics preferred.

· Minimum 2 years of teaching, research, or relevant industry experience in the field of Agricultural Economics.

· Strong academic record; publications in peer-reviewed journals will be an added advantage.

· Candidates should meet UGC/ICAR norms as applicable.

Key Responsibilities

· Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Agriculture with a focus on Agricultural Economics.

· Develop, update, and deliver curriculum related to Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, and Rural Development.

· Guide students in academic projects, research, and internships related to Agricultural Economics and Policy.

· Engage in independent and collaborative research; publish in reputed journals and conferences.

· Conduct practical sessions and workshops on agricultural market analysis, farm management, and resource economics.

· Mentor students for academic and professional growth in agricultural economics and agribusiness sectors.

· Organize workshops, seminars, and expert lectures on current issues in agricultural economics and rural development.

· Participate in departmental and university-level committees and academic initiatives.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

· Expertise in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Farm Management, and Policy Analysis.

· Proficiency in statistical tools and software such as SPSS, STATA, R, or similar for economic analysis.

· Knowledge of agricultural markets, commodity trading, and rural finance.

· Familiarity with national agricultural policies, WTO agreements, and global trade issues.

· Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to collaborate on research and consultancy projects related to agriculture and rural development.

Pay Scale

₹30,000 – ₹70,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
