Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Compliance and Governance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. They will oversee the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies, as well as monitor and report on compliance-related activities. Additionally, the Compliance and Governance Manager will be tasked with promoting a culture of ethical behavior and integrity throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing Compliance Policies and Procedures: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
2. Company Law: Well versed with the company Law and Acts. Will be responsible for filing for all the matters related to ROC/law and ensure that company is 100% compliant
3. Agreement domestic/Foreign: Should have knowledge of current law both domestic and foreign land. Will be responsible for validation of agreement on behalf of the company to ensure that organization is legally compliant and covered from all damages.
4. Implementing Compliance Programs: Design and implement compliance programs tailored to specific regulatory requirements and industry standards. This includes conducting risk assessments, establishing controls, and monitoring compliance activities.
5. Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor compliance activities across the organization to identify potential areas of non-compliance or weakness. Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
6. Training and Education: Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees to increase awareness and understanding of compliance obligations and best practices.
7. Legal Advisory: Be the legal advisory to the company on all the legal matters and ensure that all the necessary action are being taken wherever and whenever deemed necessary
8. Audits and Assessments: Coordinate internal and external audits and assessments of compliance programs and controls. Work with auditors and assessors to provide necessary documentation and support.
9. Stay Abreast of Regulatory Changes: Monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance. Assess the impact of regulatory changes on existing compliance programs and processes.
10. Ethics and Integrity Promotion: Promote a culture of ethics and integrity throughout the organization by fostering open communication, providing guidance on ethical dilemmas, and leading by example.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in law, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., LLB/CS) is preferred.
2. Proven experience in compliance, governance, risk management, or a related field, preferably within the financial services, healthcare, or technology sectors.
3. Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards and their implications for organizational compliance.
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements and develop practical compliance solutions.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. High level of integrity and ethical behavior, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance and governance.
