Position Overview

The
Director – School of Advanced Manufacturing
at Sricity Education Foundation will support the establishment and operational leadership of a forward-looking, industry-integrated academic school focused on building talent for India's evolving manufacturing sector. This role involves executing strategic academic planning, enabling high-impact research, fostering strong industry partnerships, and overseeing curriculum innovation aligned with SIU's vision to blend education with employability.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong academic foundation in manufacturing or mechanical engineering, proven leadership in academic or R&D roles, and a practical approach to developing real-world-ready professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Strategy & Program Execution

·      Assist in the design and implementation of undergraduate, postgraduate, and vocational programs in Advanced Manufacturing, Digital Production, Smart Factories, and related domains.

·      Ensure all programs are NEP 2020-aligned and integrate theory with hands-on experience, capstone projects, and long-term internships.

·      Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with schools of Engineering, Business, and Logistics.

Research, Innovation & Centres of Excellence

·      Support the establishment of applied research centres in collaboration with government bodies and industry leaders.

·      Facilitate faculty and student involvement in innovation-driven projects and research publications.

Industry Linkages & Partnerships

·      Build strong working relationships with manufacturing companies, industrial parks, skill councils, and think tanks.

·      Enable joint curriculum development, internships, industry mentorships, and co-branded certification programs.

·      Serve as a key liaison for external advisory boards, technology consortia, and innovation networks.

Academic Operations & Governance

·      Oversee daily academic operations, including faculty coordination, lab/workshop functioning, course scheduling, and student feedback mechanisms.

·      Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards (AICTE, UGC, etc.).

·      Represent the School in internal academic councils and cross-functional committees.

Faculty & Student Development

·      Mentor faculty in pedagogy, research, and academic growth.

·      Foster a student-centric learning environment that prioritizes experiential learning, ethical practice, and professional readiness

Qualifications & Experience

·      PhD or Master's in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

·      Minimum 10–12 years of academic/industry experience with at least 3–5 years in academic leadership or program delivery roles.

·      Demonstrated ability in academic administration, research planning, or technical training.

·      Familiarity with Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing, and new-age industrial technologies preferred.
