Arc Welder

Role & responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine welding requirements.
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate electrodes or filler materials.
• Perform arc welding (e.g., SMAW, GMAW, FCAW) on various metals and components.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, or grinding as needed.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and quality.
• Perform basic repairs and adjustments to welding equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of PPE and safe handling of tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Preferred candidate profile

Education & Certifications

• ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid welding certification from recognized bodies (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent).
• Additional training in safety practices or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) is a plus.

Experience

• 25 years of hands-on experience in arc welding (SMAW, MIG, TIG, or FCAW) in industrial, construction, or fabrication environments.
