Their responsibilities include dispensing medications, counseling patients, collaborating with doctors and nurses on treatment plans, performing quality assurance on drugs, and participating in medication reviews and emergency response.

  • Medication management: Assess patient medication therapy, identify potential drug interactions or adverse effects, and work with the healthcare team to optimize treatment plans.
  • Patient counseling: Educate patients on how to take their medications, potential side effects, and other important health steps, such as diet and exercise.
  • Bedside consultations: Provide direct patient care by conducting medication reviews at the bedside, including obtaining medication histories.

Medication logistics and administration

  • Dispensing and compounding: Check and prepare medications, which can include compounding special preparations for individual patient needs.
  • Inventory and procurement: Manage the storage, procurement, and distribution of all drugs to ensure availability and proper control.
  • Quality assurance: Develop and implement procedures for labeling, testing, and ensuring the quality of medicines meet legal and regulatory standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
