1. POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title

Technical Lead Automation Development & UiPath RPA

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Execution & Implementation:

• Lead the development, configuration, and deployment of automation solutions aligned with architectural designs.
• Ensure solutions adhere to quality, security, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to understand design specifications and translate them into actionable technical deliverables.
• Help break down automation solutions into manageable features and user stories to facilitate iterative and incremental delivery within an Agile framework.

2. Team Leadership & Mentoring:

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to automation developers and analysts.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

3. Solution Development & Customization:

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot automation workflows, scripts, and integrations, primarily using UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and Power Platform.
• Leverage AI/ML techniques to enhance automation intelligence and decision-making capabilities.

4. Integration & Deployment:

• Oversee seamless integration of automation with existing business applications such as policy management, claims processing, financial systems, and other enterprise tools.
• Manage deployment activities, ensuring minimum disruption and adherence to project timelines.

5. Technical Problem Solving:

• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues encountered during automation development and deployment.
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and optimize workflows.

6. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Conduct code reviews and ensure solutions comply with industry standards, data security, and regulatory requirements specific to insurance and finance sectors.
• Document technical designs, configurations, and deployment procedures.

7. Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and solution architects to understand automation needs.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

8. Agile Delivery & Continuous Improvement:

• Employ Agile principles to break down automation solutions into features and user stories, facilitating iterative development and delivery.
• Promote collaboration, adaptability, and continuous feedback within the team to accelerate automation deployment and value realization.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends in AI, ML, and automation tools relevant to insurance and finance processes.
• Recommend and implement process and technology improvements to optimize automation outcomes.

Profile, Skills & Competencies:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Masters preferred.
• 10+ years of experience as a technical lead in automation, with a focus on business process automation in insurance, finance, or related sectors.
• Proven expertise in implementing automation solutions using UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and Power Platform.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in intelligent automation to enhance decision-making and process efficiency.
• Experience in automating insurance and finance processes such as claims management, policy servicing, reconciliation, and compliance workflows.
• Deep process analysis and optimization skills, with knowledge of automation lifecycle best practices.
• Solid experience in applying Agile methodologies to automation projects, including breaking down solutions into features and user stories for incremental delivery.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with data security, compliance, and governance standards relevant to financial and insurance sectors.
• Certification in relevant automation technologies (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) and experience in designing automation solutions for specific industries, such as insurance, finance, are a plus.
