Job Summary:
The Sales Manager – Education & Learning is responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting and selling educational programs, courses, or learning solutions to individuals, schools, colleges, and corporate clients. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong sales background in the education or edtech domain, capable of building partnerships and meeting ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve enrollment and revenue targets.
- Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers in schools, colleges, corporates, and training institutions.
- Promote education and learning products through presentations, webinars, demos, and meetings.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales executives or counselors to drive performance.
- Generate and qualify leads through various channels – digital marketing, events, partnerships, cold calling, etc.
- Maintain a deep understanding of product offerings and communicate value propositions effectively.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.
- Collaborate with marketing and academic teams to align sales strategies with program development.
- Monitor industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities.
- Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 4–7 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the education, edtech, or training sector.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing B2B (institutional) and/or B2C (student-focused) sales.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and online communication platforms.
- Ability to travel locally or regionally as needed.
Key Competencies:
