Shift: 2 PM to 11pm(UK shift)

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and other mainframe technologies.
  • Work on IMS, TSO/ISPF, DB2 tables, and read/update JCL scripts.
  • Utilize INSYNC for files and DB2 table manipulation; use IBM load utilities for data synchronization.
  • Manage code using ADE Workbench and SCLM.
  • Create and execute complex test plans to verify application logic.
  • Handle production release activities, including pre- and post-production support.
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Use Exstream Dialogue Tool for document composition and rule-based configurations.
  • Work with AFP/PDF output creation, advanced tables, driver file mapping, style sheets, workflows, and rules.
  • Collaborate with business partners, review requirements, and consult on technical builds.
  • Use ServiceNow for work request, release ticket, and change ticket management.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development and support.
  • Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and Exstream Dialogue tools.
  • Solid experience with production support, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and basic insurance domain knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Comfortable with shift timing (2 PM to 8 PM IST).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PDF).
