Primary Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist

About the Opportunity

Hiring for the education and K-12 allied-health sector serving schools and early-intervention programs across Mumbai. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based occupational therapy services to school-aged children—supporting functional independence, classroom participation, and learning outcomes through collaborative interventions.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Conduct standardised and functional assessments (sensory processing, motor skills, ADLs) to identify student needs and create measurable goals.
  • Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted intervention plans aligned with academic objectives and participation goals.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions in school settings using sensory integration, fine/gross motor, visual-motor, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, speech therapists, and parents to embed strategies into classroom routines and home programs.
  • Recommend and trial assistive technology, seating/positioning solutions, and classroom modifications to improve access and independence.
  • Maintain timely documentation of assessments, progress notes, IEP updates, and outcome measures; participate in case reviews and parent/teacher meetings.
Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with valid RCI registration or equivalent licensure.
  • 0–20+ years of hands-on experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy, including assessments and IEP development.
  • Strong clinical competence in sensory integration, motor skill development, ADL training, and classroom-based interventions.

Preferred

  • Experience working with neurodevelopmental conditions (ASD, ADHD, CP) in an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and basic teletherapy delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective parent/teacher coaching and multidisciplinary collaboration; willingness to work on-site in Wadala, Mumbai.
