Occupational Therapist

Primary Title: School-Based Occupational TherapistAbout the OpportunityHiring for the education and K-12 allied-health sector serving schools and early-intervention programs across Mumbai. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based occupational therapy services to school-aged children—supporting functional independence, classroom participation, and learning outcomes through collaborative interventions.Role & ResponsibilitiesConduct standardised and functional assessments (sensory processing, motor skills, ADLs) to identify student needs and create measurable goals.Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted intervention plans aligned with academic objectives and participation goals.Deliver individual and group therapy sessions in school settings using sensory integration, fine/gross motor, visual-motor, and self-care strategies.Collaborate with teachers, special educators, speech therapists, and parents to embed strategies into classroom routines and home programs.Recommend and trial assistive technology, seating/positioning solutions, and classroom modifications to improve access and independence.Maintain timely documentation of assessments, progress notes, IEP updates, and outcome measures; participate in case reviews and parent/teacher meetings.Skills & QualificationsMust-HaveBachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with valid RCI registration or equivalent licensure.0–20+ years of hands-on experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy, including assessments and IEP development.Strong clinical competence in sensory integration, motor skill development, ADL training, and classroom-based interventions.PreferredExperience working with neurodevelopmental conditions (ASD, ADHD, CP) in an educational setting.Familiarity with assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and basic teletherapy delivery.Excellent communication skills for effective parent/teacher coaching and multidisciplinary collaboration; willingness to work on-site in Wadala, Mumbai.Benefits & Culture HighlightsImpact-driven role supporting child development within a collaborative, multidisciplinary school environment.Opportunities for professional development, upskilling in pediatric interventions, and peer mentorship.On-site position based in Wadala with occasional hybrid/teletherapy flexibility where appropriate.Keywords for search visibility: Occupational Therapist, School-Based OT, Pediatric OT, IEP, sensory integration, ADL training, assistive technology, multidisciplinary team, Mumbai, Wadala.
