Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced
Operations Manager
with a background in the
jewellery industry
, preferably in lab-grown or fine diamond jewellery. This role will be critical in scaling our supply chain operations, managing vendor relationships, planning supply and inventory, and streamlining logistics.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, design, sales, and customer service to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management

  • Build, manage, and optimize relationships with domestic and international vendors across raw materials, manufacturing, and packaging.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery timelines to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
  • Monitor vendor performance metrics including quality, compliance, lead time, and responsiveness.

Supply Planning & Inventory

  • Forecast demand in coordination with sales and marketing teams to ensure adequate stock levels of finished goods and raw materials.
  • Develop and execute procurement plans to meet production needs without overstocking or understocking.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems for accurate tracking and reporting.

Logistics & Fulfilment

  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-efficient transportation.
  • Manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and shipping partners, both domestic and international.
  • Optimize packaging, warehousing, and last-mile delivery for improved customer experience.

Process Optimization

  • Identify and implement improvements in supply chain workflows to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop SOPs for operational processes and ensure team adherence.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to integrate tools that improve operations (e.g., inventory management systems, ERP).

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or vendor management in the
    jewellery industry.
    lab-grown diamond experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of jewellery production processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Proven experience in managing vendors and global supply chains.
  • Familiarity with logistics, import/export procedures, and international shipping regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems, inventory management tools, and Excel.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in D2C or e-commerce focused jewellery brands.
  • Understanding of sustainability practices in supply chains.
